FOUNDED: 1935 | AFFILIATED: 1946
In 1928 at the Newquay Bowling Club (East End) (now Newquay Trenance BC) Councillor A.J. Clemens said that it would be nice to have a bowling green at the West End of Newquay. Eventually the Fore Street green was opened in June 1935. The club affiliated to the EBA and CCBA in 1946. A Ladies Section was formed in 1973 and this section affiliated to the EWBA in 1975. In 1986 the first Bowls Festival was held, this continues to be a great success. This year 2025 marks our 90th anniversary.
The club is open to the public and visitors during the season (May to August inclusive) from 10 until 12 every day (excluding competition days - please see our calendar/fixtures list here. £5 per person per session. Also, we are affiliated to Bowls Bash, and can offer sessions, please see the Play Bowls website to book these.
